Hello, my name is João Morgado,  I live and work in Torres Vedras and this is the first time that I take part in a Blog even though I use the internet in a daily basis.

 

I intend to reflect about the impact of internet in my life. Currently it is part of  our lives, like tv or mobile phones. In our society we got used to integrate the new tecnologies in our daily activities, whether  with professional ou leasure  goals. It gives us the possibility to increase our knowledge on a determinate subject, accessing  information within seconds, contacting people troughout the world with just a click... and so on, the possibilities are endless. People got used to depend on the benefits of this rapid way of accessing information or advertisement and sharing information.

In my personal experience, it started with the need to receive and send emails to friends away , or talk to them in chats online, or download movies and music, later on, the need to reseach for cientific articles for my degree. In the present, I need to use it everyday to keep in contact with the partnerships at work, it allows me to pay the  suppliers, personal payments, send files or documents and other activites that make the work much more productive.

 

This is the way I live with internet, and I fell that it helps me very much, but it also has inconveniences when used without supervion or limits, like with children or people who find in the internet the only way to communicate with others. Not all the sites are well intended, we need to be careful.

The internet

The internet is a worl of information. Through the internet we can research topics of interest, talk with someone (through e-mail, Facebook, MSN, etc), and have access to various services (net bank, etc). With the internet everything is easier and faster! This is great advantage.

However, it also has disadvantages. Everyone can say what they want over the internet. When we research we must have attention to what is written and have a critical spirit. on the other hand, we also find in the internet a set of content that can encourage violence, crime or xenophobic attitudes. Internet may also contribute to the persons isolation.

Hello my name is Rui Amaro, I am 30 years old and I live in Campelos and it is a pleasure to participate in the Blog.

I think the Internet changed our life in a positive way. Even if you want to have very specific information, you will find it in a short time and for me Internet is a very important way to communicate. I can imagine live without it. Personally I go to the Internet to do research, send e-mails, and make free call. I communicate with friends and family far away, especially with Skype. I think the Internet is the best way to communicate. Especially the social network is becoming more and more important for nearly everybody.

Another advantage of the internet is that you can join a community.

You can create new social contacts all over the world with MSN, email, social networks like Facebook, among others, which enabled a revolution in the way we communicate with others.

THE INTERNET IN OUR LIVES

Hello. I´m António José Rodrigues, from the ST 04/12.
This is my first time that I participate in a blog. Maybe you’re asking why. The answer is very simple: when I need to send a personal or a work idea or a message, I always use the email. I think it´s more private than other forms to communicate on internet.
For me the internet is a global tool that today is impossible to live without it. I work with internet since 2006/2007, when I started working in Carroçarias Maia, where I work till today.
Internet has good and bad things. It depends what you’re doing with it. We have to take precautions in its use. Many times we don´t know who are we talking with or if the information is true.
We must be responsible in its use.

Internet est important

L'accès à Internet est très important parce ql'accue j'l'accès ai appris les rudiments de fonctionnement de l'équipement, pour faire face à l'ordinateur. L'apparition de ce fut sans doute une découverte importante, ainsi que rapide et efficace, son évolution a été innovateur. Le niveau de travail, facilite la performance et gérer des tâches multiples rapidement et efficacement. Au niveau des ménages, nous pouvons utiliser le «Messager» en contact avec nos amis et la famille pour et de faire d'autres types de travaux. Néanmoins, il existe certains inconvénients, car, de nos jours, il y a une tendance à raccourcir la rédaction et utiliser le soi-disant "smileys". Les ordinateurs facilitent grandement le travail des gens et je parle de ma propre expérience.

L’importance d’Internet dans mon quotidien

Aujourd’hui Internet est indispensable, aussi bien au travail comme à la maison. C’est un moyen de communication très rapide. Sans sortir de chez soi on peut, faire du shopping, parler et voir des personnes qui sont loin, consulter des articles, consulter des recettes de cuisine, consulter des cartes routières, éclaircir des doutes sur n’importe quel sujet.

Au travail c’est très utile, on n’a plus besoin de fax, on envoi tout par Internet. Moi para exemple, je dois avertir la Direction Générale de la Fiscalisation et du Contrôle Alimentaire, (« Direcção-Geral de Fiscalização e Controlo da Qualidade Alimentar ») à l’arrivée au Portugal de produits d’origine animale, provenant d’autres pays, auparavant, je devais leur envoyer un fax, de nos jours, je dispose d’un site internet pour enregistrer ce genre d’information.

Internet est aussi utile à mes enfants dans leurs devoirs à la maison, ils peuvent faire leurs devoirs sans avoir besoin de se déplacer à la bibliothèque car sur Internet ils trouvent toute l’information nécessaire et leur apprend de nouvelles méthodes de présentation de leurs travaux.

Mais il ya aussi des contres. Internet nous a permis de perdre quelques habitudes, comme celle de parler au téléphone, maintenant on envoie des e-mails ou on va sur Facebook.

Avec Internet, il existe aussi des dangers, comme celui de parler avec quelqu’un que l’on ne connaît pas et de lui donner nos informations personnelles qui seront ensuite utilisées pour nous nuire.

The Internet is the best way to communicat. The major advantage of internet is to know all the news at the moment. One of the latest and rapidly spreading ways of conecting using the internet is the social networking. Among the existing networking one can count the professional networking, Hi5 and Facebook are examples of social networking.

Despite these advantages there are negative aspects about internet, fraud lack of privacity and wrong information are major disanvantages.

NEW TECNOLOGIES

New tecnologies have brought a whole new world of things that a couple of years ago were impossivel to imagine.
If we want to send a message to someone we may find different ways to do it: telephone, mobile phone and e-mail.
Internet is a very important mean of communication in ours days. We can talk to people all over the globe. The neighbours are no longer the people who live next door, because with internet we pick and choose our virtual neighbours and friends. Earth is alredy a small place.
I think that progress is always a good thing, but new tecnologies keep families apart at home.

The Internet

The internet has revolutionized our society. Apart from being a way to communicate, it is also used to do research. It's easy, fast, economical and environmentally friendly.

But all this accessibility has brought with it many dangers. For example, life can become more virtual than real, the easy way which kids can access to inappropriate content, or the habituation of young people to get information so easily, it only devalues other type of research and make them accept its contents without questioning.

Personally and professionally I go to the Internet to do research, send e-mails, share documents and taking care of issues related to social security and finance, I also use the Home Bank. All this with just one click.

My Job

Hello! I'm José Miranda from ST 04/12.
I work as a builder, I normally build houses and garages, but I've made other things like a well or a fountain.
Professionally, I also am the driver and the technical construction worker of the company I co-own.
At work I make diverse tasks: from working with stone to build brick walls, plasget them and settling tiles, mosaic, etc.
These days, the construction sector is crossing a major crisis, due to, not only our economic situation but of all the other european countries; that's the reason why is getting so difficult to my company to get more projects to work in.
I don't know how far my company will be able to sustain itself.
Fortunatly there's still some work, but for the next year I don't have any propose so far.

The Present

 the present, the moment, now, everything  that I described already is the past in the time, when I am reading. We live in search of the future (the dreams) and live the past (memory) and the present  here  is it?

It walks in our moment, in our walks at the endof the day knowing to appreciate what it is to our around. It´s in our breakfast  with the family, in meeting with friends, the pleasure of being with his girlfriend in the company of a good book, etc…

To know to use to advantage the present  is to live, because the future is still to come and the past already passed. Let us give this gift of present .

The Rottweiler

Hello I am Luís Filipe Leal Emidio. I come here to speak about my dog​​.
My dog ​​is named Kiwi, it was my mother who chose the name, i would like that he was called Brutus or Hasdrubal. A Rottweiler is very intelligent and sweet. It loves to play with golf balls and children, it protects them well and let them do what they want , from playing in his food to do so through horse punching bag. It is a faithful dog and friend and as a reward for its loyalty and patience i take it to walk on the beach. It its kennel but it prefers walking through the yard because there is more space, it has the feeling of freedom. I love my Kiwi, it is the protector of our house. Luis Emídio ST 04/12.

THE IMPORTANCE OF INTERNET

We live in a world of constant change, with each new generation to change the ways of relating and living in society. I believe this generation will be marked by the changes caused by the Internet. But after all, what is the importance of the Internet in today's society?

The internet has brought new forms of communication such as MSN, Internet telephone such as Skype, email, social networks like Facebook, among others, which enabled a revolution in the way we communicate with others.

There was also a decentralization of information, culture and education because with the internet, this is no longer the privilege of only a few. Anyone can access to Wikipedia (which is already the largest encyclopedia in the world), attend courses at distance, read free books on the internet, blogs about all kinds of subjects, map services and virtual tours that allow to know various locations.

We can also find the best prices in minutes and shopping, all in the comfort of our home, with the internet.
