Technology in my everyday life

My name is Maria José, I'm forty years old, I live in Torres Vedras. I'm doing RVCC process to the level of secondary education. I'll try to give my opinion about the new technology, a complex and difficult issue to explain.

Technology in my everyday life

It is hard to say how I use technology in my everyday life. If we think a little bit, everything is technology, from cell phones to cars, from watches to the stereo on the living room. So, with this on our minds, technology has a huge role, not only in my life but in all modern societies. We all use it even without realizing, let’s think of all electric things we depend on, everything runs on electricity, our lights, television, all the gadgets in the kitchen, computers, almost everything on the house.
Computers run our lives these days, water supply, gas, communication, satellites; it has such a massive impact at all the things, from the basic to the most complex.
In my daily life, I get up at the sound of one of the most important invention, the alarm clock, then I eat some toast made by a toaster, another lovely invention, I go to work on another piece of technology, my car.
When I arrive at my job, I work all day on the computer on a specific program of the library called “Bibliobase”. Sometimes I need to use the phone and when is cold I turn on the heater.
Sometimes I feel that al that technology especially the cell phones and the Net take away some of our privacy.
