Why separate the trash?

Everything that is produced by nature degrades rapidly decomposes. But that is produced artificially, such as plastics, cans and glass, may be infinite time without decomposing, paper and cardboard may take about 3-6 months after ingestion, soda cans take about 80 to 100 years . Plastic can take up to 500 years, the glass is thousands of years in nature without decaying. Let's start with a simple gesture, separating the trash at home, it costs nothing and the environment will thank you.
